Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Finnish German Pinscher Club (Pinserit Ry).
The Club was founded in 1981 and gained the status of a breed-specific
club according to the rules of the Finnish Kennel Club in 2005.
The Finnish German Pinscher Club is a member of the Finnish Kennel Club,
the Helsinki Kennel Club and the Finnish Schnauzer Pinscher Central Organisation.
The Club has two representatives in the Board of Directors of the Finnish
Schnauzer Pinscher Central Organisation. The aim of the Finnish German
Pinscher Club is to promote and control the breeding of purebred German
Pinschers in Finland.
At the end of 2008 the Club had a total of 286 members; 265 ordinary members,
4 honorary members and 17 family members.
Every year the Finnish German Pinscher Club offers its members a wealth
of events from behaviour and agility training for dogs to dog shows and
lectures as well as summer camps. In addition, the Club promotes the general
health of the breed by regularly organising breeding inspection and group
inspection days as well as offering character testing.
The number of German Pinscher breeders in Finland and world-wide is comparatively
small. In Finland about 100 German Pinschers are registered annually.
The Finnish Schnauzer Pinscher Central Organisation publishes a quarterly
magazine which received the Finnish Kennel Club’s breed club magazine
award in 2000.
